    The Mt. Hermon School Parent Center is always open in the school library for parent to access at any time during the school day.

    Mrs. Lahoma Vernon is our school’s parent educator and is always willing to assist anyone. Parents are welcome to complete job applications, check on student's grades and test scores.

    WPSS reopening school plan for delivery of instruction on 2020-2021

    Washington Parish School System is planning to begin school on Aug. 6 in a traditional manner. However, the school system has developed a plan for each possible phase in which schools may be required to open due to COVID-19. These plans are based on guidance from the LA Department of Education, the LA Department of Public Health, & the LA Governor’s Office. It is subject to change as guidance from these lead agencies change.

    Have questions about the reopening of school in Washington Parish for the 2020-2021 year? Email them to WPCOVID@WPSB.INFO. An FAQ will be updated on the WPSB website based on questions received.

    On May 28, 2020, the WP School Board adopted a REVISED school calendar for 2020-2021.
    In order to maximize instructional time, days were added to the calendar. Should the WP Fair Committee decide to cancel the Fair, that week will become an instructional week for students. Also, if Mardi Gras is cancelled, those will be instructional days as well.

    PreK and NEW student registration can be completed during this time.
    Use Social Distancing Guidelines, Face Masks are REQUIRED and only ONE person per family allowed in the office. No children are allowed in the office.

    The Washington Parish School System continues to keep the health, safety and well-being of our students and staff as our highest priority. As a school district, we are closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and taking guidance from the Louisiana Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
