FAMILY MATH NIGHT
Aesha Magee, a graduate of Mt. Hermon High School was the recipient of the 2015 L.Cpl. Larry Wells Scholarship. This scholarship was established to be awarded to one Mt. Hermon High School senior each school year in the amount of $300.
Aesha is a Southeastern Louisiana University freshman, majoring in nursing. Her goal is to become a neonatal nurse and care for newborns. Aesha was involved in a few of the college's organizations, including the NAACP, and the PROJECT P.U.L.L. club, which is a mentoring program for freshmen. She is very thankful to have received the scholarship and will continue to enjoy her time at Southeastern, as well as working hard to achieve her goals.
This $300 scholarship was created in 2005 to honor of Larry Wells, a 2002 graduate of Mt. Hermon School. Larry joined the Marines just after he graduated and served two years. Larry lost his life fighting for the freedom of innocent people in a foreign country as well as the freedom and safety of our own country.
Donations can be made to the scholarship fund at any Citizens Savings Bank. For more information please call: Citizens Savings Bank 985-795-0505 or Mt. Hermon School 985-877-5813.
